The RDS E-Monitoring Service offers clients radon, radon-daughter, gamma- radiation and U-product dust monitors that have been coupled with an internet interface — the E-Monitoring Unit. Clients view monitored data remotely on the RDS Monitoring Platform. The basic data-transmission frequency is 10 minutes and the dashboard renders 1-hour, 6-hour, 1-day and 1-month monitoring-data averages.
The RDS E-Monitoring Service uses either mobile internet or the client’s internet:
- If the mobile service is available, the client plugs the E-Monitoring Unit into a 240 V AC power supply, or into a solar-panel-powered 12 V battery source. Monitoring and data transmission start automatically once the E-Monitoring Unit is switched on.
- If the client’s internet is to be used, the client follows a simple procedure to connect the Wi-Fi router of the E-Monitoring Unit to the network.
To view and/or download data, the client logs into the RDS Monitoring Platform; the username and password are e-mailed to the client.
